Where are the best chances for a white Christmas in 2025?
AccuWeather’s Anna Azallion breaks down your chances of a white Christmas across the U.S. for 2025.
United States stock markets will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 25 in observance of the Christmas holiday after closing early on Christmas Eve.
The Nasdaq and New York Stock Exchange will both close at 1 p.m. ET on Christmas Eve, according to their websites. The U.S. bond market will also have an early closure on Dec. 24, with markets set to close at 2 p.m. ET and remain closed on Christmas Day, according to the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association.
Stock and bond markets will reopen on Dec. 26, and it will be business as usual on Wall Street for a few days. The next scheduled stock market closure is on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, in observance of the new year.
Bond markets will also close early on New Year’s Eve, with markets closing at 2 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Dec. 31. The NASDAQ and NYSE will close at their normal time that day.
